Paranormal Stuff

There are some things
We will never know
With absolute certainty
Like those mysterious events
That happen in our lives
And open our minds
To the intriguing possibility
Of supernatural things
All that stuff that can’t be seen
But also can’t be disproven
The paranormal and spiritual things
And the interplay between those realms
And the one we’re living in
The fantastical and exciting things
That we will never comprehend
But speculate about
Whether we admit it or not
Because who hasn’t thought about
The weird and creepy things
That frighten us at night
Like the monsters we imagine
Hiding under our beds
And lurking inside our closets
Or the vampires, witches, and werewolves
That sneak around at night
Though, that’s getting a bit too farfetched
Even for me
Still, there are those rare
And auspicious occurrences
The joyous, fortuitous surprises
That touch our hearts so deeply
Coming like an answer to our prayers
The small miracles
That transpire much too serendipitously
For mere chance alone
And do make us wonder
If life isn’t quite so random, after all
And I’m allying myself
With the psychics on all this
Because I like believing in a spiritual realm
And in all the mythical, magical things
Like demons, entities, or guardian angels
And the idea that they might succeed at times
In messaging us, in our daydreams
Intuitions, or imaginings
Or as the softly whispered voice
We only thought we heard
In our consciences
But mostly, I just love
How all the mysteries in life
Hint at the truth of a spiritual world
And thereby, nourish my soul

There are some things
That we will never know
With absolute certainty
Mysterious events
That happen in our lives
And open our minds
To the wonderfully
Intriguing possibilities
Of all things supernatural
The stuff that can’t be seen
But also can’t be disproven
And therefore might actually be real
Even if we can’t comprehend them
Like the paranormal and the spiritual
Or the idea of alternative realities
And the possibility of interplay
Between the unseen world
And the one in which we’re living
The exciting or frightening things
We all speculate about
Whether we admit it or not
And what about all that other stuff
The weird and creepy things we imagine
Like the monsters that hide under our beds
Or lurk inside our closets
The vampires, witches, and werewolves
But I have to admit
That’s getting a bit too farfetched
Even for me
Still, what about all those
Inexplicable occurrences
The joyous and fortuitous surprises
That will come to us
Like an answer to our prayers
The small miracles
That touch our hearts so deeply
In the oddest situations
That transpire much too serendipitously
For mere chance alone, times
When we find ourselves wondering
If life isn’t quite so random, after all
So anyway, I’m allying myself
With the psychics on this
Because I like believing
In a spiritual realm
In all the mythical, mystical, magical things
The demons, entities, and guardian angels
That might occasionally succeed
In messaging us, appearing
In our daydreams
Intuitions or imaginings
Or just as a softly whispered voice
We thought we heard like a warning
From our consciences
But mostly, I just love
How all the mysteries in life
Nourish my soul
And hint at the truth
Of a spiritual realm
There are some things
